Since the Web was invented by scientists, it is no surprise that scientific communication is common online. In this section, I list a few major examples of sites that are putting the Internet to use for scientific communication.
The online world is all about communication, so it is not surprising that examples of the Internet as used for communication abound. This section highlights how computer-mediated communication on the Internet is being used in a range of context--from individual and small group interaction to mass and societal uses. I list groups studying these contexts for communication as well as examples and software.
