	I'm Online, You're Online, by Steve Jones The Social Use of the Internet Using the Internet relies on some form of interaction (more so than many other media, with the possible exception of the telephone), as in the case of email, IRC, chat rooms, MUDs, and Usenet. IRC is a particularly interesting example, for some former users have found reason to create a Usenet group called alt.irc.recovery to discuss their efforts to recover from IRC use (if there is such a thing as Internet addiction, one may imagine this group as the equivalent of holding AA meetings in a bar).
