Dale Spender, a recent Member of the Order of Australia, is a
researcher, broadcaster, public speaker, teacher, author and
editor of more than thirty books which integrate the fields
of language, communication, writing, editing, publishing and
gender equity. Her works, such as Women of Ideas--And
What Men Have Done To Them and The Writing and
The Sex have particularly focused on how women have
been excluded from the canon of literature.
