NCIP's site also contains a guided tour of two early childhood classrooms which integrate high and low tech tools to ensure that students with disabilities have full access to rich language and literacy experiences. Providing educators with a glimpse into actual classrooms (one in Massachusetts, another in North Carolina), the tours not only contain valuable information (e.g. descriptions of classroom activities, teacher interviews, video clips of children engaged in learning situations), but are linked to NCIPnet's online discussion forum on early childhood technology. By providing this linkage, educators are given an opportunity to reflect on the tour with their colleagues and/or start new threads of conversation around a similar topic at any time. The principle which guides the design of the tour is to provide educators a choice in seeking resources, conversations, or both.
