John December Biographical Statement

John December is president of December Communications, Inc., a Web communications company. He is an experienced Web developer, teacher, software creator, and freelance writer. His publications include articles and books about Internet topics as well as online information he has worked on since 1992.

John has given presentations about the Web and Internet to a variety of audiences worldwide and has taught courses in computer science, expository writing, computer-mediated communication, and creative writing. He has developed software and graphical user interfaces to analyze aircraft requirements for military missions at Boeing's military division. His poetry has been published in many literary magazines including Mid-American Review, Sou'wester, Passages North, and others. His photography has been published in The Shepherd Express and Milwaukee Magazine as well as exhibited at Light Ideas Gallery in Milwaukee. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Michigan Technological University, an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Wichita State University, an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin--Milwaukee, and an M.S. in Communication and Rhetoric from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Born in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and after living in Kansas, Wisconsin, and New York State, he presently lives in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
