Contemplating Roads Less Traveled, by Kevin Hunt

The End of the Road

Despite pursuing an ambitious vision in which ultimately the entire world would be interconnected by means of the information highway, Gates himself remains out of touch. Yes, Bill Gates will be one of the main architects of the information highway, and it no doubt will be smooth and efficient for those who subscribe to the Gates world view. But for those who don't occupy the proper social, economic, and cultural positions, entrance ramps will be hard to find.

The Road Ahead is a good indication that once you're on the highway, it becomes increasingly difficult to contemplate the other landscapes out there. --
