Pornography as a Classic Liberal vs. Conservative Argument

The Liberal argues that there already exist laws to protect people from violence and children from exploitation. The government has no business getting in the way of people's freedom of expression. Moral beliefs about sex should not be used to censor individual tastes.

In contrast, the conservative view would hold government responsible for actively censoring speech according to a particular set of moral beliefs.

Another view is that -- pornography is a criminal, not a moral issue
