Grrrl sites defined . . .
Women-specific FTP and Gopher sites have existed on the Net for years, hence women's sites are not new. So, what makes the grrrl sites unique? Net Chick author Carla Sinclar, explains, "in my opinion, a grrrl site is
created by a woman who addresses issues without acting like women are
victims. Grrrls take responsibility for themselves--we don't blame men for
anything, but instead focus on ways to improve and strengthen ourselves.
Grrrls enjoy their femininity and kick ass at the same time."
