Conclusion

Since announcing its site in March, 1996, NCIP's Web site has received much media attention--both online and off-line--and has been bestowed with a number of accolades attesting to the value of the site for its unique model of integrating both resources and online conversations on a single platform. However, the true accomplishment is not in the number of awards the site receives, but in people benefiting from the integration of information ... like Bernie, the father of a child with autism.

"...As a parent of a special needs child, from the bottom of my heart I want to thank you and the others involved in making the NCIP site an outstanding Web site. Your site is really what the Web and the Internet are all about, and I really, really appreciate it!"
