This list summarizes the extensions that Microsoft has made to HTML for the Internet Explorer browser.
The elements shown here are in all capital letters; the attributes are indicated by initial capital letters.

The BODY and Related Elements
Microsoft adds:- Support for cascading style sheets.
- MARQUEE: creates a scrolling text marquee. Attributes:
- Align="top|bottom|middle"
- Behavior="scroll|slide|alternate" (scroll = continous movement; slide = display once and then sit there; alternate = slide in and reverse out)
- Direction="left|right"
- Loop="how many times to scroll"
- Scrollamount="pixels/time"
- Scrolldelay="milleseconds between scroll movements"
- BGColor = color of background behind text
- Width = width in pixels of marquee
- Height = height in pixels of marquee
- Hspace = pixels to leave as buffer left and right of marquee
- Vspace = pixels to leave as buffer above and below marquee
- BGSOUND: plays a soundtrack when the document is displayed.
Attributes:
- Src="url of sound file"
- Loop="number of times to replay file"
- New attributes for IMG used for inline movies:
- Dynsrc="URL of the AVI movie"
- Controls - when present, it adds "VCR-like" controls to the movie image.
- Loop="number of times to play the movie"
- Start="mouseover|fileopen", when movie begins to play, fileopen is default.
- New BODY attributes:
- BGProperties="fixed" - if present, this freezes the background image defined in Background to the browser window so that it does not scroll with the text.
- Topmargin="pixels of buffer at top of page"
- Leftmargin="pixels of left margin indent"
- New TABLE body and cell colors:
- <TABLE Bgcolor="color" >
- <TR Bgcolor="color" >
- <TH Bgcolor="color" >
- <TD Bgcolor="color" >
- Support for frames.
- Extension for floating frames -- you can place a frame on an HTML page wherever you can place an IMG element.
